Milan Tresch Stories
Reader Reviews
Few Hungarian books have such strong visual power. While reading, you can hear the sirens, see the figures disappearing in the smoke, feel the tension in the field. "Engineering Investigations" is typically the story that both the eye and the heart want to make into a film - action, drama and human story at the same time. Cinema material in the best sense.
A film producer's opinion
"The website is going very well, it fully reflects everything we talked about during our personal meeting."
Robert Bolyan, banker
“Engineering Investigations” is not only a professional novel, but a modern Hungarian heroic story. Precise, tight, yet human: it is rare when technological authenticity is so naturally intertwined with human drama. The book shows that behind the flames there is always human decision, struggle and responsibility. A true, modern, Hungarian chronicle.
Publisher's recommendation
Dear Milan,
First of all, thank you so much for letting me read your book.
I cried, I smiled - it was a complete emotional rollercoaster.
It felt strange to read it knowing that, indirectly, I was also part of that period.
Many things from our youth came back to me. So many memories - even my own - resurfaced through the relationship and story of the two girls.
I believe you created a truly worthy tribute to Edó.
An eternal remembrance that will outlive all of us.
Congratulations on the book, and congratulations on the idea that allows her to stay with us forever, carried on through this story.
The three of you were one whole.
I’m sure this is an extremely difficult time for you, but you are strong, and you will work through this as well.
I wish you success in your work and in your life.

This book is not to be taken lightly. I've been in the field, I know what it's like when every minute counts and someone else's life depends on their decisions. "Engineering Investigations" accurately reflects this tension, but also brings humanity to it. It's not only a professional, but also a spiritual mirror - and it feels great to see someone finally telling an authentic story about our world.
